It's mostly his insensitivity to the -isms. Plus, there was that one sketch (NOT looking it up) where they all got together and rape was involved, but it was just a huge joke because ~teehee~ drunk sex. Ugh.

Oh, god, those. This actually makes it worse but I think there are two of those skits.

But yeah. Him, Yahtzee, Coelasquid. It's incredibly infuriating that they go from pretty good satire to annoying privilege with a drop of a hat. In part, I understand the audience, but *graah*

It's annoying when I have to trim down the sites I go to for entertainment and yet I think I'll have to do it again...

These days, if I want to be entertained by a straight, white dude snarking something, I stick with The Comics Curmudgeon. He sits pretty firmly in the "male feminist" category and I generally find him delightful.

Ugh.

Some girl I don't know, "Gay guys are basically girls."

A friend of mine, who I really wish I had told off but found it hard to do so because 1. He's my friend, and 2. He has a vicious temper if you get him mad: "Gay guys scare me."

Sbgr4u5u5u5ngenge frustrationese.

Edit: Even better, same friend up and logged off of everything in a fit of rage because people dared to speak about homosexuals in front of him. FFFF.

Eirwyn, I apologize, but if you're afraid of his temper, why are you friends with him? Is it just a mutual group sort of thing?

That's a very good question, Karalyn. I've been subjected to his vicious temper before, and it was awful. He called me 'garbage' and would ignore me whenever we were together in public, and he said 'apologize or rot in hell'. What I did? I tried to sympathize with him and assure him that he was wrong about a mutual friend abandoning him. I was going to go on, but this is not the topic for it.

The problem is that he's very charming. He's usually very cheerful and he buries me in warmth and affection whenever we're around each other. And yeah, it's a mutual group sort of thing. Though more and more I'm starting to hate that group. There's him, and then there's our other friend who also said homophobic things, and then there's a girl in our group who freaks out every time people argue and wants things to calm down AS SOON AS POSSIBLE because there can NEVER BE CONFLICT, EVER. She'll go "HEY HEY SETTLE DOWN" whenever people so much as politely disagree, and as much as I hate to be so harsh, she's just... spineless.

Yeah, I ended up saying much more than I needed to. Basically, he's charming, and we're stuck together in a mutual group.

I do have a sort of love-hate relationship with The Nostalgia Critic, though. On the one hand, he can make incredibly insightful and comedic comments on a work. On the other hand, he can be a complete idiot regarding most types of privilege and *-ist language, as well as being incredibly immature (for my standards, which are quite lenient).
Heh...I went through and watched a few of those reviews a while ago, and yeah, he does a great job at analyzing what made some shows so awesome 10 years ago and what made some so not. But I would really have appreciated a Captain Planet review that *didn't* make gay jokes about the titular character. There is so much to ACTUALLY make fun of Captain Planet for without assuming anything about his sexuality.

Moriarte: I've decided that if I took all the 'Lesbians' and made something out of their corpses, it would be so large not even the Unreal Engine could handel it.
You say, "Fuck you."
Started ignoring player 'moriarte'.

*Sigh.*

idgi. What?

Oh, and for my own Daily Dose, apparently I am not allowed to date women until after I graduate college and move out on my own, because as long as I live in my mom's house I need to be "normal". Thanks, mom.
