This is the first announcement of this I've made (my dude-roomie reading the email over my shoulder doesn't count): As of today, I be goin' back to school! (Hee! Is exciting.) Specifically, to get started on a Graduate Diploma of Professional Writing and Editing. I freely admit that this is partly so I don't have to have a real job (Yay for Australian student allowances).

Woo! Congratz :)
I totally hear you on the not wanting a real job thing, too. I have my last exam of my degree tomorrow and am already job searching-being a student is a lot more fun.

Hooray for school!

I am still a lowly undergrad myself, and will be remaining one for the forseeable future. Because when I take a normal course load, I fail four out of five classes and become disinterested in feeding or grooming myself, but when I limit myself to one or two courses a year I walk off with a 4.0 GPA and a modest (but at least existent) sense of self-worth. I could say something pithy about the fine line between genius and insanity here, but it's six in the morning, so my pith reserves are low.

Thanks!

I'm still not actually sure how I made it through the last 2 years of my undergrad degree (I've managed to stop adding *even though it was just an Arts degree* on the end of that, yay for progress), and the past year and a bit have been a total clusterfuck when it comes to functionality, let alone productivity, so I'm looking forward to that whole external source of structure thing. Sheesh, I really like writing overly long sentences. Not being overly ambitious, though - sticking to part-time study for now.

Yeah, I hear you. For me at least, doing nothing can be almost as bad as doing too much.

And overly long sentences are one of the most fun things about the internet! ;)

Hee, thanks. I kindof lost my words in my last depression pit, and I really need the whole external structure thing of being a student to get my capacity to think back. Looking forward to it!

I really thrive better with external structure, too. This last year was difficult, with my research fellowship. I am happy to be going on rotations.

Yay for awesome classes and life things working out! Now I want a smilie that waves a tiny flag of joy to add to this comment, but I can't find one. So please imagine me waving a flag that says "Yay Tevarre!" as you read this.
