Since literature was suggested on another thread, I thought it would be a good idea to share resources on a dedicated thread on the board.

My two favorites are Patricia Evans and Lundy Bancroft, who are authors. They tend to focus more on emotional and verbal abuse, but Lundy Bancroft does discuss physical abuse, also. Patricia Evans also has a message board. I have been unsuccessful getting on it, but I know someone in a local support group says it was very helpful for her.

Both of their website contain extensive resource pages, also.

I'm a fan of Harriet Lerner's books. The Dance of Intimacy and The Dance of Anger really helped me see where things were going wrong in my marriage as it was nearing its end.
