Lists
I really believe in the awesomeness of sharing experiences. Here are some lists with personal anecdotes of the diverse, complicated, and ever-changing experiences of people trying to navigate gender minefields, and sometimes, somehow, doing something right. These lists are primarily about cis (or cis presenting) experiences, but trans or trans presenting experiences are welcome. The main point is to develop a list illustrating the ways people on varying hierarchical levels of the kyriarchy can still manage to interact respectfully with one another, despite all the -ism obstacles.
Street Luv
A compendium of experiences describing, for lack of a better term, the opposite of street harassment. If you want to compliment somebody in public without being a tremendous douchehat about it, this list gives examples of some ways that some women are receptive to attention from strangers.
Stuff What Boys Can Do
A list of large and small ways men can ally themselves against patriarchy.
A Note on Comments:
This area of the website still allows comments. Comments must be relevant to the list. Harriet decides what is relevant, and arguing with her in the comments about her decisions isn’t relevant. Leaving a comment here because you couldn’t leave it on another post with closed comments is not relevant or on-topic. Your comment will be deleted. If you do this twice, you will be banned.
